Who?
My name is Mary and I blog and cook in New Brunswick on the east coast of Canada. I share my little farm near the marsh with my husband, three daughters, a dog, two cats, horses, ducks, chickens and lots of (very large) mosquitoes.
I taught English for many years, but before that I went to cooking school and spent time working in the food industry. I was a vegetarian on and off since I was 15, and am now a full-time vegetarian (in a mixed omnivore/veggie household). You can find out more here.
What?
You’ll find meatless recipes here that are usually easy to prepare and that don’t require hard-to-find ingredients. I test my recipes on vegetarians and non-vegetarians, and share the ones that appeal to both.
If you are trying to include a few more meatless meals in your diet, this blog is for you. I’m not here to convert you or preach at you – I’m just here to help make it a bit easier.
I try to eat healthy-ish most of the time, but I believe there’s room for celebration, so you’ll find lots of recipes with chocolate and cream, too.
I don’t believe in super foods, or food snobbery. I figure there’s room at the table for everyone, and ketchup with that is okay.
What you won’t find here? Advertisements and sponsored posts.
When?
I try to post new recipes at least twice a week. I post a meatless main dish on Mondays for Meatless Monday, and a dessert, main dish, snack or side through the week.
I also share recipes from my favorite bloggers on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter. Let’s connect!

What a fabulous, huge kitchen you have! Forget magazine images of floor to ceiling stainless steel with all the latest appliances. THIS kitchen is the one I dream of.
