Start-the-New-Year-Right Granola

This is a relatively low-fat granola. If you prefer a sweeter and chunkier cereal, you can double the oil and honey.

Ingredients

rolled oats

sunflower seeds or choice of nuts

raisins or other dried fruit

honey or maple syrup

Instructions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F /
149 degrees C
.
In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the oil, honey.and vanilla. Stir the dry ingredients well to combine.
In small bowl, combine oil, honey and vanilla. Mix well.
Pour honey mixture over dry ingredients and stir to combine thoroughly.
When well-mixed, put granola into 2 9x13-inch /
23x33 cm
pans, and place in oven.
Bake for 20 minutes, then stir.
Bake for another 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool in pans. When cool, scoop the granola into an airtight container to store.
